Why am I qualified for this position?

  1. Skills

Currently, I have finished my Master's in Computer Art from the School of Visual Arts. I have honed my skills in both 2D and 3D animation, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud(After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Primer) and Cinema 4D. I like using different media to achieve a fancy final output effectively.

I excel at multitasking and managing multiple projects across various styles. Working on diverse projects fuels my creativity, with one idea often sparking another.

I'd like to organize my project folder following your structure, as it will enhance my efficiency and make it easier for others to collaborate on my project.

    2. Soft Skills

    1)Follow a disciplined schedule.

I love starting my day by planning my schedule in Notion. There's something so satisfying about checking off all the tasks once I've completed them!✅

2)Engage in proactive communication with others.

Active communication is crucial when working in a team. During my internship at Beike, I was responsible for creating storyboards and handling the animation production. After completing the storyboards, I first reported the results to my supervisor to promptly receive feedback and make necessary improvements. Once the story structure was confirmed to be solid, I communicated with the design team to clarify the content of each frame and how the elements should be separated. Throughout the production process, my colleagues and I continuously identified issues and actively communicated, which allowed us to complete the project efficiently and effectively. 🕓

My approach to problem-solving is driven by creativity, and I am confident that my skills will contribute positively to the dynamic work at Hornet.

Why apply this position?

  1. Appreciate Values

I really appreciate the values of your studio. From every project, it's clear that you research the brand and messages you want to convey before brainstorming the design. Despite the tight deadlines for each project, you are still able to produce innovative design expressions and visual presentations.

Additionally, although you don't explicitly mention it on your website, it's evident from your posts that you show great respect and care for your employees. Not all companies highlight new interns or express gratitude for their hard work. Such a positive work environment surely leads to even better creative output.

  2. Collaborate with creative people

I'm truly very happy to be working with so many talented people. I get to see a project from start to finish and learn how professionals handle the details in design and animation. Receiving guidance from the creative team at every stage helps me improve faster, not only enhancing my technical skills but also learning valuable methodologies.

  3. Multi-discplinery

The last time I visited your studio, I had the chance to watch an artist who worked on a captivating cel animation project. Hearing them share their experiences and seeing the beautiful, expansive scenes and playful animations in progress left a lasting impression. What surprised and inspired me even more was learning that [he is a versatile mixed-media artist skilled in both cel animation and 3D motion graphics.

This experience reinforced for me that Hornet is more than just an agency; it’s a creative haven where talented individuals are encouraged to explore their unique skills and push boundaries. The collaborative energy at Hornet, where artists from diverse backgrounds inspire each other to spark new ideas, is exactly the kind of environment I aspire to grow in. I also loved the Soho workspace and hope for the opportunity to work there someday, connecting with and learning from the talented team in person.
