Hi! I’m Ruchen Shang! 🤗
I am a designer who is exploring how to break the boundary between 3D and 2D media. I focus on dynamic 3D motion graphics with color in playful and youthful scenes with handmade textures.
Although I’m not too fond of computational textures in animation and my art style, I use code to create fluidity and efficiency in my animation. Animation is beyond real life; it is based on code. The code I make is my deliberate brushstroke, which challenges the cold nature of code. In this paradox, I find my favorite expression to build a bridge between the algorithmic and the emotional.

I'm just a person who wants to breathe life into plain things and make them colorful.
If I'm not working, I'm probably out exploring nature, watching K-pop, trying out new eats at different restaurants, or matching my outfits with my everyday mood.
