My Short Art Journey

School Life

I attended an art high school where life drawing sparked my interest in observing details and presenting them uniquely. For my undergraduate studies, I chose design, and in my second year, I specialized in digital media due to my passion for indie games. Participating in game jams and developing award-winning games with friends, I realized art often played a secondary role in game design. This prompted me to seek a field where creative art and concepts are central, leading me to animation, where imagination, exaggerated motion, and unique perspectives create a compelling and fulfilling visual experience.

Why Motion

I am drawn to animation for several reasons.

Firstly, animation is brimming with imagination, transforming ordinary elements into something magical and offering limitless possibilities for enhancing our world. I adore the exaggerated motions in animation, which bring a delightful and unique perspective to everyday actions.

Additionally, I enjoy exploring the connections between different elements. In motion graphics, the composition and movement of objects adhere to their own logic, creating a harmonious and compelling visual experience. For instance, choosing between different transition techniques can significantly influence the emotional impact of a scene. When I encounter fantastic motion, I feel passionate and eager to understand the details behind the work that achieved such a result, and I love sharing these insights with others.

Lastly, I have a profound appreciation for the mixed media approach in animation. I am particularly fond of the cartoon series "The Amazing World of Gumball," where characters and scenes use different styles like 2D cel animation, 3D modeling, and even realistic objects. These diverse characters, each with unique traits, often interact across different media in intriguing ways. Combining various media types allows each to showcase its strengths, adding depth and richness to the final piece. This intricate blending of different media elements makes the world of motion graphics incredibly fascinating and fulfilling for me.
